Werwing

WordPress site for study-abroad consultancy — requirements-led build

Werwing connects students and families with international study opportunities. Their needs for the website were explicit from the outset—messaging, structure, journeys, and conversion points were specified before build. Codestern translated that into a full WordPress corporate site: all pages and blocks the brief called for, editor-friendly patterns, and forms tuned for enquiries across regions and devices.

Industry: Education consulting (study abroad)

Requirements-first programme: Werwing arrived with a well-defined brief for their digital presence. Codestern implemented every agreed section and page on WordPress, iterated with stakeholders where needed, then launched and handed over with WordPress CMS training so the team can maintain content and grow the site over time.

The challenge

  • Ambiguity is expensive in education marketing; the organisation wanted a digital presence where scope, tone, and user journeys were locked early so implementation could proceed efficiently.
  • Prospective students and parents need logical paths—by destination, programme type, or stage of the journey—without hunting through unstructured pages.
  • The consultancy competes on trust; the experience had to feel credible and calm, not gimmicky or overloaded.
  • Lead capture had to work internationally, respect privacy expectations, and make the next step after an enquiry obvious.

What we did

  • Used WordPress as the CMS and built out the complete sitemap and templates implied by the signed-off requirements—section by section, page by page—rather than improvising IA late in the project.
  • Implemented a visual and typographic system suited to education: clear hierarchy, readable long-form content, and prominent but tasteful calls to book consultations or ask questions.
  • Configured forms, notifications, and content entry patterns in the block editor so non-developers can update programmes, destinations, and supporting copy safely.
  • Applied sensible technical SEO and performance hygiene so destination- and service-led content can be discovered and loaded quickly on mobile.

Results

Brief-to-site alignment

What went live reflects the agreed requirements—there is no drift between what leadership asked for and what visitors actually see.

Editors in control

Teams manage pages and sections through WordPress without depending on engineering for routine content and campaign updates.

Trustworthy first impression

Structure and polish support the consultancy’s positioning: families and students get clear next steps instead of a confusing brochure maze.

We knew exactly what we needed the site to do and how we wanted to come across. Codestern built it faithfully on WordPress—every section we scoped—without endless scope creep. Our team can update programmes and destinations in the CMS, which was non-negotiable for us.
